The tattooed Drachen Warriors are a group of savage and cruel heathens, and the legend of a buried ‘enemy to all mankind’ is a lie – or so the Dragon Priests of Faith would have people believe.
As a young child, Ravyn was mistaken for a thief and suffered horrendous injuries under the guise of punishment by these overzealous priests. Now, as a young woman, Ravyn lives with the aftermath of that trauma every day. Despite her anxieties, she focuses on her dream of becoming the first female regent in Koda. Unfortunately, much to her father’s chagrin, her close relationship with the Drachen means she would rather watch soldiers and the warriors fight against the beasts that roam the land than concentrate on her duty as ‘Heir Mother of Future Regents’.
After witnessing a skirmish with the beasts, Ravyn picks up a discarded bloody helm, and an innocent touch of black blood tears her world apart. While she tries to find her place in a new reality, and the warriors deal with accusations based on lies, the ‘enemy of all mankind’ is stirring.
The battle the Dragon Gods forewarned is quickly approaching.

It’s so exciting to be publishing my first book. This has been a journey I’ve wanted to partake in for more years than I’d like to remember. It has also been a very steep learning curve for someone technology challenged like myself. Hence the lack of ‘links’ on this page (I’m still trying to work out how to do it!) But I make up for it in other ways.
Black Blood and Stone is available on Amazon, Barnes & Nobel and will soon be available in Amazon KDP as well as other online stores. I’ll change this page and add links once I know what I’m doing (this could be a while, please be patient with me.)
